overnight oats

Over til opskriften! Den er nem, lækker og genial på en hverdagsmorgen.

English version

I have started this new thing, where I try and begin every week with a monday-morning-run. I love it so far, it really makes my week start off just perfect. Try it! And try this easy, delicious recipe for vanilla overnight oats as well – and you’re good to go!

Recipe for one serving:

1.5 dl havregryn / 1.5 dl oats

2 spsk græsk yoghurt, skyr eller lignende / 2 tbsp greek yogurt, quark etc.

½ tsk vanille essens / ½ tsp vanilla essence

1 tsk havsalt / 1 tsp sea salt

2 spsk chiafrø  / 2 tbsp chia seeds

1-2 dl valgfri mælk / 1-2 dl milk (any kind you prefer)

1 spsk puffede ris (kan udelades)  / 1 tbsp puffed rice (can omit)

How to: Bland det hele og kom i en lufttæt beholder over natten i køleskabet. Server med kokosrasp og peanutbutter eller din yndlingstopping / Combine and place in an airtight container over night in the fridge. Serve with shredded coconut and peanutbutter or your favorite toppings.

Hvad er din go-to morgenmad på en travl hverdagsmorgen?

top tips

For any VEGAN kind of this overnight porridge, use the milk that fits your dietary needs. If you don’t have chia seeds on hand then (go get it!) swap for flax seeds. Try and add cinnamon for another flavor, and if you don’t have quark in your fridge, try adding some mashed banana instead.

This looks so good it could be a dessert. I love the idea of having it ready and waiting in the morning. That’s a great idea.

I’m a big oatmeal fan. In fact, I’m eating my oatmeal breakfast as I type this. :-) I love when you can cook things overnight and have them waiting for you in the morning. This looks so sweet and comforting. Thanks so much for sharing!
